Middle School

R E A C H

We step onto every campus with the express goal to make a positive impact on everyone we meet. At the middle school level, the REACH One Alliance has an opportunity to positively influence students as they navigate the real-life challenges and choices that grades 6-8 bring. We champion each student’s power and ability to take action to create a positive change, right where they are, in the world around them. It’s one thing to hear, “be the change you want to see in the world.” but it’s something else to hear, “ I see the Greatness in you, and here’s how to live it out.” We know that change takes time and it doesn’t happen overnight.

We realize, however, that to shift culture and create systemic change requires a consistent effort and focus. we offer an infrastructure to create a culture of Kindness, Compassion, Inclusion, Service, and Greatness.

Leaders in Action Empathy Training- Day 1:

This 90-minute session supplements the ongoing development and enrichment of social and emotional skills in an effort to prevent bullying and bring out the best in students on campus. Utilizing team building activities, our focus is on empathy, leadership, building connections, collaboration, and taking action.

Leaders in Action Workshop- Day 2:

This 90-minute workshop breaks down the R.E.A.C.H. principles and the Plays of the Day in a motivational, high energy, multi-media, interactive experience.

R.E.A.C.H. One for Educators and Parents:

In an effort to unify and align the practice of inclusion and compassion within our 5 areas of focus (the Home, the Classroom, on Campus, during Extra-Curricular Activities and the Community), this relaxed, inspiring and informative discussion will outline the REACH One principles we instill in students and create cohesion among Educators/Staff, Parents, and Students. For educators, this is a 40-minute talk with a component of inspiration; for parents, this message is best delivered in a 15-minute address at Back to School Night.

R.E.A.C.H. One Huddles:

Students and R1 advisor meet weekly to re-connect on the R.E.A.C.H. One Plays of the Day and touch base on upcoming R1A activities. Huddles last about 5 minutes and typically occur during lunch or before school on the same day each week as decided by the students during the R.E.A.C.H. One Workshop.

R.E.A.C.H. One School Dance- 90 minutes:

Coach Greatness is a DJ!! For middle schools only on our R1 campuses, we bring out our sound equipment and set up a Red Carpet experience that students love. The goal is to create a positive, inclusive, fun experience for students to connect, socialize, and celebrate each other with R.E.A.C.H. One spirit intertwined with your school spirit!
